Introduction

CZECH REPUBLIC DEVELOPMENT COOPERATION

The Czech Official Development Assistance (ODA) is implemented by the Czech Development Agency (CzDA). CzDA is responsible for identification, formulation, implementation and monitoring of the projects, induding the preparation of the selection procedures for the public tenders and grants. Furthermore, CzDA supports Czech entities, working towards their involvement in the project implementation within the development cooperation of other donors, particularly, the European Commission; it strengthens the capacities of the Czech de­velopment constituency, and performs the educational activities and propagation of the outputs of ODA in the Czech Republic and abroad.

 

Mongolia and ODA

Mongolia is a priority country within the Czech Development Cooperation. Every year the CzDA provides Mongolia financial funds exceeding 2 million EUR. Main sectors of ODA ofthe Czech Republic in Mongolia are water supply and sanitation, energy generation and supply, agri- culture, education, trade and other services.

Development projects were formulated and imple­mented in the cooperation with Mongolian partners, such as ministries, state agencies, local authorities and NGOs. The Czech Development Agency coop- erates with other intemational and national donors operating in Mongolia.
